Alabama Urgent Care & Specialty Clinic

I have came to this location a few times and never had any issues. Today, I came in and told the front desk woman I wanted to be tested for strep and probably covid/flu. I paid my $40 copay as well as my $38 balance. Once I got in there after the nurse did their standard check the doctor came in there and told me they weren’t testing me since I was just sick a few weeks ago. Even though my symptoms are worse and much different!! The doctor literally said “I feel like I didn’t do annything” Yea!!! Because you didn’t!! 😅🤣 All of that to say, I will be paying another clinic tomorrow to preform the tests I requested today. I could not and would not recommend using this clinic, wait till the next day to see your primary and save your $$$!

Horrible, I went to this clinic for 9 months and was only seen never anything more than that. I never once met my doctor. I was advised by two people not to go there and did it anyway. Even though his name was on all my bottles I couldn't pick him from a crowd. I had multiple bills come up, christmas & son's b-day& was unable to pick up my prescription due to money constraints so I struggled to be sure my son had presents and was then flagged for not picking up that med on time. Instead of understanding and seeing my struggle that I explained they cancelled all my refills after i paid to see them, stopped seeing me and refused a refund for me sitting on a chair and telling them my weight to chart, didn't even take time to weigh me. Being a mom to 4 kids, we have seen just about every UC in town. This one is the best. Quick yet thorough, kind, and patient. You can tell they enjoy helping others by the way they present themselves.

Highly recommend Alabama Specialty Clinic! Super quick and easy from the time you check in to walking out the door. Everyone is so helpful and kind. The office is very clean. I have always had a great experience here. Dr. Thomas always greets us with a smile and is very personable. The Nurse Practitioner, Paula, is very knowledgeable and thorough with her care. She listens to your concerns and gives you the opportunity to be a part of your care by giving you treatment options available to discuss. I love being able to see Paula because I know that whatever my needs are, she will take care of me and my family.

This facility is incredibly clean and the doctors, nurses, front staff are all so incredibly kind. Will continue to visit
