This place has made several improvements. Very clean. New staff members that are personable and caring. That love their job and show compassion to the elderly. Alyse is an amazing CNA.

Worst rehab center I’ve ever seen was warned in the beginning but was always told dont judge a book by its cover . The urine smell is awful and the rooms are small and nasty . The toilet in my mom’s room has overflowed 4 to 5 times staff has been told but don’t seem to care My mom has never been scared of anything. That I can remember maybe a mouse but apparently the workers there are bullies and she’s afraid all she says is I wants to go home and don’t say anything to them .They. Have messed with the wrong family. I personally spoke to the administration and voiced my concerns but we will see if anything changes. Will keep everyone posted Don’t put your family in this facility please

The Akin Rehabilitation Center in Akin need to be invested for there like of not handling their residency needs to be up date on the discharged patients paper work to the Medicare Government Office in South Carolina. Who should send the Discharged Orders so Medicare will receive the information to Correct the Medicare of the Discharged Patients?

MY UNCLE WAS PATIENT FOR A WEEK AND A HALF.THE BED SIDE MANOR of the cnas was horrible.Cleaning staff didn't completely clean each area in the room my uncle was in. The physical therapists were doing what they could to motivate my uncle doing his exercises and they were informative.overheard staff complaining about there job out loud on more than one occasion when I visited.

One of the worst rehabilitation centers ever. My grandmother has been here for a long while to get better and they have lost every so gle piece of clothing for her. We've had to continuously buy her clothes and nightgowns even after specifically telling them we will wash them. Her stuffy has gone missing that was hand sewn for hope and luck. Note, everything HAD HER NAME ON IT. If insurance wasn't covering her here, she would NOT be at this place. Horrible service, and abuse of patients. Absolutely ridiculous. Worst damn place ever.
