I have to give a HUGE thank you to Dr. Mullen and Josie at After Hours Pediatrics Urgent Care in Lake Worth. Without them, a crucial diagnosis for my son may have been missed. My son was having issues weight bearing on his foot. Dr. Mullen decided to do X-rays. He and Josie both agreed that the images were abnormal and we needed to follow up with our pediatrician and an orthopedic doctor. We waited for radiology just to be sure. Radiology called the images clear. Our pediatrician said the X-ray didn’t look like a fracture, but to see an orthopedic doctor. After meeting with an orthopedic specialist, we learned our son has a rare condition affecting the bones in his foot. Whoever the black bald head doctor istg , he’s the main reason I will not be bringing my daughter back. How do you not feel comfortable examining a child for something she has already been seen for at this urgent care, by another doctor… twice? It honestly felt like he didn’t know how to properly examine her without relying on extra equipment. If that’s the case, he might as well be a medical assistant, because a doctor should be able to do a thorough exam. The two female doctors my daughter saw the last couple of times were the only ones who seemed competent. They were experienced, thorough, and actually knew what they were doing. Let me know when this doctor is no longer working there and when you hire medical staff who are qualified and confident enough to properly care for children.

I cannot express how grateful I am to the entire team! the front desk staff went above and beyond to assist me during such a stressful moment and Doctor Mullen was equally amazing, making my son feel comfortable I couldn't have asked for a better experience under such difficult circumstances. I wholeheartedly give this office five stars and recommend it to any parent looking for after hours care for their little ones!

I had the worst after-hours pediatric experience at this office. I brought my daughter in because she was very sick with Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease and needed medical attention. As a parent, that alone is stressful and scary. The front desk staff was extremely rude and unhelpful. Instead of assisting me with verifying or locating my insurance information, they acted like it was a burden to help. There was no compassion, no patience, and no willingness to guide me through the process. What made it even more disappointing is that I work as a medical assistant myself. I understand how busy medical offices can be, especially after hours. However, professionalism and empathy should always come first — especially when dealing with a sick child. Dr Mullen and nurse josie were absolutely fantastic. They were kind along with not having me wait the entire entirety of my visit. They were very fast and efficient. Their knowledge and expertise help me feel a lot more comfortable about my visit. I’m very grateful for them during my time at after hours pediatrics
