AFC Urgent Care Yorktown Heights

The front end staff gave great customer service! I can't say enough great things about Joseline Cuateco and Sophia Santos. These 2 women are fantastic at their jobs! Ashley Hatzidakis is one of the nicest people I've ever met!

I came in to check for strep. I made an appointment for 6:10pm. As I arrived I saw the lobby was busy but not full. The gentleman behind the desk told me and another girl to go stand in the outside lobby (with NO HEAT mind you while we’re sick) and wait until our names were called (without even checking us in) we then watch a family come in (no appointment) and another group of people but they got to wait in the inside lobby. Then by 6:20 I went back in and the male receptionist again told me to wait outside and I said no I had an appointment for 6:10 and it was now 6:20 and he hasn’t even check me in but I checked in on my phone at 6:05. He then said okay it prints out your name will be called next and to go back outside and I said no. I’m sick. You’re not making anyone else go out there.

Suffering from an evil cough from acid reflux because of stress. Went in after work 7:30 pm a half hour from closing time. I was checked in quickly seen in no time by wonderful staff. That absolutely took care of me with concern, respect and patience. I was absolutely calmed from the stress I was in. They listened to my needs and it was not my first visit at that facility. Just a wonderful experience.

I scheduled the first available appointment here at 8:00, filled everything out online, and was listed as first on the online waitlist. I arrived on time, and there was one person ahead of me filling out paperwork. I could clearly see/hear staff in the back just standing around chatting while waiting for him. When that individual finally finished his forms, he was taken back—even though his appointment time was after mine. Shortly after, another man walked in without an appointment and with only mild symptoms, and he was also seen before me. It was clear that appointment times were not being honored, which defeats the purpose of scheduling ahead. The situation became even more frustrating when it came to my prescription. I clearly stated that my prescription should be sent to CVS in Mohega

It was easy to register and schedule an appointment online before going in the next day. I arrived at 10:20am for a 10:27 appointment. I was seated in the exam room by 10:38 but there was another wait for the doctor. Dr. Gupta was nice enough. He suggested a nasal swab to do a respiratory virus panel even though I didn’t have any respiratory symptoms. All the tests came back negative. I thought it might be a hit or miss with urgent care because of my obscure symptoms. He prescribed 4 weeks of antibiotics but all my symptoms went away the next day. Nurse (or PA) Alexa was lovely. She did a quick, painless blood draw and she was just very professional but personable. The front desk staff were also nice. I received the virus panel results a few hours after my visit but still awaiting the bloo
