AFC Urgent Care Belleville

I had a really disappointing experience at AFC Urgent Care in Belleville. We went in at 7:30 PM, well before their 8 PM closing time, and the clinic was completely empty. I even have photos showing no patients inside. Still, the receptionist (who seemed to be the PA or nurse) told us they “couldn’t take us” because the doctor supposedly had too many patients, even though no one ever came out. We waited in the parking lot until 8 PM to see if anyone was being treated, but only the staff walked out. Even after explaining that the patient was very sick, they still refused to help. It was honestly frustrating and upsetting to be turned away like that by an urgent care that’s supposed to be there when you need it most.

My family and I have been a patient at this location before, but after tonight, I will not be returning. My 9-year-old daughter arrived at 7:35 PM with her father for a possible ear infection. Instead of being seen, she was turned away and told to go to PM Pediatrics. While we have gone there in the past, we chose this location tonight because the weather was bad and this office was much closer to us. When I found out she was turned away, I called to ask why and to confirm whether they see children. I was told that they do treat pediatric patients, but the doctor had decided not to see any more patients because there were too many charts left to complete. Turning away a sick child 25 minutes before closing time is unacceptable. I have worked in urgent care myself, and we never turned patie

Fantastic place. Best urgent care I've ever been to. No waiting took me in right away. My nurse gylan was excellent. Very nice understanding compassionate I couldn't ask for anyone better. My doctor I believe her name was Allison. She was fantastic also. I highly recommend this place you won't be disappointed

Very nice place (AFC Urgent Care, Belleville, NJ). Michael (Physician) was very pleasant, professional, and sincere caring with genuinely kind demeanor snd compassion. I highly recommend. I would have given 5-Star rating, but there is something that all the AFC Urgent Care facilities should change. They should NOT ask a patient (checking in) to speak patient's name, date/monrh/year of birth, and medical issue. (THIS IS A HIPAA / PRIVACY VIOLATION). I basically had to whisper so that other people in the waiting area could not hear my private personal details. There should be a private electronic screen where a patient types in his or her name, birth date, and medical issue. That way, no one else hears any private/personal information. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Dr. Stein was great and informative! I received my test results in a matter of minutes and was discharged quickly. I highly recommend this Urgent Care in Belleville.
