AFC PriMed Prattville

They sent prescription to the wrong place multiple times and were very rude on the phone when we tried to call back to get it sorted out. And at 2 Walmarts and CVS they were never even sent the prescription. It was a disaster and I can understand the confusion but not the rudeness.

The whole scheduling part was very simple and check-in was easy as I did to paperwork online.  I found it annoying that your waitlist showed people who checked in online but who were not there, some didn’t have an appointment for three hours or more, making me think that I was waiting behind six people when it was only a few. The lady who checked me in and did my vitals seemed to be angry or maybe just hated her job. I tried to engage her in conversation and ask her how her day was going and she just looked at me with a scowl. She never said a word. Not a good start. Then the nurse practitioner came in, and I told him that I had an ingrown toenail that I got infected. It was all red and I’ve been treating it at home for three days and its not better. Genuinely one of the worst experiences I have had at an urgent care. I made an appointment for 1:30 and arrived at 1:15, but was not seen until after 2. Once they pulled me back, I sat in a room for 35 minutes before a physician came to see me. They talked to me for less than 5 minutes about my symptoms and did not run any tests, but told me my illness would just have to run its course. I asked for a steroid shot because I feel miserable, and waited 45 minutes to get it. The only reason it wasn’t more was because I stepped outside to see if they had forgotten about me. I will not be back here and I wish I had chosen a different practice to help me.

The best urgent care I’ve been to yet ! From receptionist to nurses, they were all great. Took about 20 mins since I walked in to be seen. All staff was super friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this Urgent Care !(:

Awful experience! From the Nurse Practitioner Myles to the wait room staff. I went in just to get prescription refills. I told Myles that the AFC in Calera always did 6 month refills. She said ok. She called in a 1 month supply. I've called AFC Prattville 4 times this week telling them my situation, each time being told someone would call me back, and not one person returned my calls. The last person I spoke with told me that they didn't do 6 month refills. I said the one in Calera does, and why hasn't the 4 previous people I spoke with told me that? Every person I spoke to was unfriendly. Will not go back. They need a whole new staff.
