I had to take my girlfriend to the emergency room here after she had surgery at the same hospital for what looked to be a serious infection. The nurses, doctors and staff were profesional and exhibited the appropriate balance of science and compassion. The experience at Illinois Masonic was great. She was well cared for by caring professionals.

Very mixed experiences here... We had a horrible experience in the ER with my mom a few months ago, to the point we ended up just walking out. Then, more recently, my dad needed care, and we were dreading coming here, but this is what was recommended. The ER experience was much better. He was admitted, and the staff in Tower 7 by the west end were wonderful. He had surgery, and the surgical team was great, as well. The ICU team was amazing, but when he was stepped down to the east end of tower 7, the service quality dropped noticeably. Very long waits waiting for the nurse were the main thing, and only 1 or 2 nurses were polite and friendly. The others were always rushing and/or dismissive. They would leave the alarms ringing for long periods of time. Also, the water in that section had a

I was hospitalized in December of last year and received excellent care from the staff, both in Emergency and as an inpatient. However, I suspect they may have given me too much fluids in the three days of IV treatment. After a month of rehab elsewhere, and many treatments for my leg edema, which seemed to start after discharge, I am still suffering. As a heart patient (moderate failure) and an elderly woman, shouldn't that be considered when adjusting the amount of fluids necessary to administer antibiotics? Is it possible that your treatment started it all? This has left me frustrated and planning to seek specialist care if it doesn't abate soon. D. Greenberg

I received fantastic care all around here at advocate. My Primary care physician while looking at my medical records said they did some of the best well rounded work on my labs, tests, and overall care. I also just spoke on the phone with (Denisha?) (I’m terrible with names) and she was unbelievably pleasant and helpful.

This was the worst hospital experience I've ever had. I was dismissed, invalidated and made to feel that my pain was my fault. I was treated by the WORST health-care provider I've ever had. She was combative and treated me like a suspect and not a patient in pain. Her name was Maria C. After her ignorant diagnosis of my pain (I had stabbing upper left back pain) I asked to talk to a doctor. She informed me that the best I could do in the ER was a NP and diagnosed me with a bladder infection. I'm pretty suret those don't cause sharp chest pain. . I was discharged with the same incredible pain in which I arrived. Her decisions about my medication were ignorant at best but negligent and dangerous. I will be filing a formal complaint about this CNP and will insist she be held accoun
