Advocare Summit Pediatrics

As both a parent and a board-certified family nurse practitioner, I was shocked by how this practice treated my family. My stepchildren, Cole and Leo, had appointments to establish care that were abruptly canceled less than one business day before—no explanation, no call. Then, on Nov 8, I received a FedEx Overnight letter dated Nov 7 terminating my infant daughter from the practice, despite her being fully insured and due for her 2nd flu shot on Nov 24. There was no discussion, no warning, and no opportunity for resolution. I faxed the practice from my own clinic, messaged the physician on Doximity, and emailed hospital leadership—no response. I’ve been coming to this clinic since 2021 when I had my first child, and now both of my kids are patients here. The care we receive is consistently excellent, and I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else! Today, I brought my 3-year-old in for a flu shot, and Nurse Ashley was absolutely wonderful. She was kind, patient, and very informative. She administered the shot so well that my son didn’t even cry—just a small wince! She even gave him a sticker afterward, which made his day. Ashley truly went above and beyond and is a big part of why I felt compelled to write this review. Generally speaking we are very happy with our experience with Advocare. We typically go to the office in Clark and see Dr Silva or Dr M. Today we had to go to the Summit office for removal of stitches for my son’s facial laceration. The office staff were lovely and tried their best but they were not able to removal all the sutures. The issue being that he was moving around too much despite 2-3 grown adults holding him down. Very traumatic for a parent to hold their child down through that. We had assumed the office would have the board to strap him down, which is how the ER got the stitches in. Turns out the office has has no board. I had a great visit with Dr Silva. Everyone from the doctor to the staff treated us with kindness, compassion, and warm friendly smiles. They were timely and we hardly waited in the waiting room. They made my son feel comfortable and also made me feel less anxious about my sick child. We got fast results which put our mind at ease. I highly recommend this practice to any of my fellow parents.

I have been going to the practice since 2013 when my pediatrician retired. He highly recommended them, and had a deep respect for the doctors there. Summit Pediatrics has always been kind and caring, from the office staff to every nurse, doctor or PA we’ve seen, and we’ve seen just about everyone. They have recently opened a branch in Clark, which is even more convenient. I have never had a problem getting a last-minute appointment here- plus the parking is free! My children have always received the best care at every stage. I would recommend this practice to anyone!
