Advocare First State Pediatrics

This review isn’t for the entire office or for the staff as my child hasn’t had her first appointment here yet, but I just wanted to say that Cherelle (hope I spelled it right) was phenomenal at her customer service while assisting me with setting up an appointment for my daughter. I’m new to the area and had several questions and she was able to answer them, show grace, and demonstrate patience. As a first time mom this is the customer service you need when you call into a pediatrician office. Thank you so much Cherelle!

Front desk staff are rude. They don’t even great you when you walk in they sit with air pods and just stare at you when you approach the counter. Even when you call over the phone to schedule appointments short and rushing you off the phone. Dr.Murphy does not wavier from the immunization schedule, became emotional and condescending with me when I stated I would like to separate vaccines between multiple appointments. It’s a shame I pretty much had to argue my opinion and desires for my child. He then stated he’s not the doctor for me and I should find another if I’m not going to go by his recommendations. His way of practicing is dated and he needs to get more up to speed with current medicine.

Dr. Murphy is great with children but the policies of the office are applied unreasonably, and the staff is miserable. We stayed with them for 20 years through COVID and management changes - all of which seemed only to add to the decline in patient/parent experience. It's an uncaring and inattentive practice now. Maybe it's happening in other practices as a result of changes in healthcare in general. Best wishes to all parents of small children.

My daughters started going here when their doctor from Nemours passed away. Dr. Leach has been nothing less than AMAZING to my daughters (now all adults) and continues the with the same thorough care to my son. The office is consistently clean and the front desk staff are kind, courteous and friendly. Hands down, this office is the best!!!!

First time mommy! Dr. Murphy is amazing! Takes time to listen and understand concerns. With each visit gives information on baby’s milestones. staff are super friendly & office is excellent and extremely clean. Would recommend office to anyone looking for pediatrician especially those who are first timers! I feel at ease knowing my baby is in the best care.
