AdventHealth Winter Park

This location has a strict 15 minute policy. My appointment was at 11:20am, I arrived 18 minutes late (including me having to walk upstairs with a bad knee because the elevator was extremely slow for a 2 story building). I walked in to a completely empty lobby and advised Latoya (front desk) that I was late because I went to the wrong location (there’s several advent locations near me). She told me she would need to ask if I can still be seen which I understood. She then started speaking very low to her colleagues sitting next to her and then started typing. An additional 3 minutes went by and then Latoya says they are going to refuse to see me today. I questioned if it’s truly impossible to be seen because again, I went to the wrong location, I took the stairs with an injured knee, there’

My wife was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and needless to say our emotions were and are still running high. Our meeting with Dr. Seghal went smoothly as he was very reassuring and honest. I feel our advocate Julie has been a tremendous help. The real reason for this review pertains to my wife’s visit recently for a port insertion. We were both very anxious at this point. Our receiving nurse, Allison, was pleasant, friendly and professional. She immediately brought the anxiety level down. Two other nurses, Mark and Claire were equally reassuring and explained everything. Post operatively, after care was thoroughly discussed. Being a nurse myself, I do tend to be critical but the care my wife received was excellent.

Natalie, a nurse in the ER, was top notch. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and always made us feel like we were in good hands. She took great care of my mom and showed real compassion. I just wanted to pass along to her supervisors how fantastic she was. She’s a great nurse and truly appreciated. 😊

We had such a wonderful experience during the birth of our baby, and I cannot say enough good things about the incredible staff at this hospital. The mom and baby unit nurses, Abby, Ashley, Shawna, Hannah, and Damaris, were absolutely amazing. They took such thoughtful, compassionate care of both me and our baby and truly made us feel supported during every moment of our stay. A huge thank you as well to Gloria in the NICU for taking exceptional care of our baby. Her kindness and dedication meant more to us than words can express. The head nurses were extremely attentive and consistently checked in to make sure everything was going smoothly. I have a client that was in ICU, I have been to this hospital a lot, experienced a lot of the staff all over the hospital, let me tell you, they have a gem of an RN in ICU by the name of Michael, so caring, kind, and friendly. He gave my client the best care, was so patient, and just what you'd want in a dire situation. Most of the staff I've encountered were kind but Michael was kind and warm and just very impressive. He is definitely the best of the best of your Winter Park Advent health staff!
