AdventHealth Parker ER

Everyone was professional and nice from the ambulance drivers who took care of me and the folks at the hospital. They were in contact with my regular physicians related to this challenge and kept me posted on what’s the best course of treatment should be going forward. Rather be out hiking with my dogs, but good care was offered.

I had a very positive experience at Parker Adventist. First at the ER where the team of professionals did their best to keep me comfortable and informed. Then with Dr. Denton and the surgical team who performed my gallbladder removal. Dr. Denton is knowledgeable and confident and adjusted his schedule to perform my surgery. I felt like I was in good care with the staff in both departments.

I brought my 8-day-old newborn to the emergency room at 9:30 PM because his body was yellow (possible jaundice). We waited about two hours in the waiting area before being taken to a room. After that, we waited more than 30 minutes for the nurse. Blood was drawn and we were told the results would be ready in 40 minutes. Later, we were informed that the test had to be repeated because the machine did not get a proper reading. After the second test, we were told to wait 45 minutes, but we ended up waiting more than an hour and a half with no update. For an 8-day-old baby, time matters. If the bilirubin level had been high, delays like this could risk complications. The lack of timely updates and long waiting times in the emergency department are very concerning. After being bucked off a horse which resulted in a separated shoulder I received excellent care that was personal and never seemed rushed. Multiple X-rays and two CT scans, one with contrast, bloodwork and diagnosis from the radiologist took only 3 hours and I was discharged with a DVD to take to my orthopedic surgeon to continue my care. Very impressed.

We had a great experience at the Parker Advent Health ER. Every staff member offered such genuine care and comfort. Service was efficient and thorough, with everyone working collaboratively to provide the best experience for patients. We couldn’t have asked for more compassionate, professional care. We would highly recommend this ER.
