We had an extremely disappointing experience with AdventHealth Urology at Lake Mary. After my husband was discharged and suffering significant pain and discomfort due to unexpected urological issues, the call team at AdventHealth Hospital scheduled a same-day appointment at the Lake Mary office. We even received a text confirming the appointment, and I personally called to double-check he would be seen. When we arrived, they collected his co-pay, but then informed us the appointment had been canceled and refused to see him. No explanation, no effort to help, and unfortunately, no empathy. All we needed was five minutes to address urgent post-discharge concerns. Instead, we were left feeling ignored and dismissed during a very vulnerable time. This office staff and coordinator could put forth much more effort in to their jobs. Surgery 17 days out and they don’t know anything. Maybe I can just cancel it if they schedule it and it’s too expensive (this is really what they told me because they can’t tell me how much it costs until less than 7 days before the procedure which feels like they just procrastinate until the end, there’s no new information that will be revealed all of a sudden, they’re just not doing their jobs in the time frame that would make sense to anyone but them). The office staff will also just put you on hold indefinitely if they don’t like that you’re not accepting the nonsense they’re telling you. Beyond any expectation is my experience with Christy Suzanne Walls. When you walk into the office, they greet you and welcome you with the smile. Everyone there is ready to help and answer all of your questions. Her listening skills and time spend with patients are great. Thank you Christy for the special and excellent care that you provided. I had a appointment with Dr Christy Walls on 5/28 and it was a quit visit 15 mins . I liked her but I wish the office would at least verfy my insurance before I came to this office. My PCP send a referral to this office they told referral coordinator that this office in network with my insurance. Well to find out this office billing dept processed my claim out of network and for me to keep calling their billing dept I spoke to Sara and she doesn't return any calls this tells me this offices likes to.take advantage of patients. Well I'll be appealing with my insurance and no one will get paid . Get your staff trained before you have patients come in to.this office. Will not be coming back to.this office
