Advanced Audiology Institute

Audiologist was great with my son. On the other hand, I believe this place needs better receptionists. The receptionists weren’t hospitable or welcoming as they should’ve been. They seemed dispirited, tired, and just had a “ready to go home” attitude. Also, as my son and I were waiting on the doctor, they were speaking very loud. Then after maybe realizing they were loud, they began to whisper very loud, which was very unprofessional (and distracting, being that I was reading). But as I said, the doctor was great. They just need to train their receptionist better or find some new ones.

My experience there was unbelievable! I was in to have the silicone filled, as they were in the ear hearing aids. The time in which they quoted me when the hearing aids were to arrive was delayed about a week, and only after I complained, they had taken my portion of the money. I was squeezed in for a fitting and spent perhaps 20 minutes with the audiologist whom I was told later was the owner. He was hurried and I did not feel I was properly informed as to the usage of the hearing aids. I informed them I was not happy with them, felt I didn't get a proper appointment as to the correct use of the hearing aids. Furthermore, no manual, and no written instructions were given to me, but told I could go on line for them, however there were many pages. They indicated they would order one fo

I’m giving two stars mainly because of the receptionist. The audiologist and the care itself were good, but the front desk experience was disappointing. The receptionist didn’t come across as very friendly or welcoming, and that really affects how patients feel when they first arrive. I understand that many of us don’t have a choice when we’re referred to a facility like this, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be met with a warm smile or kind interaction. A little friendliness at the front desk would go a long way in making patients feel more comfortable and valued.

First time for a hearing test for me and the audiologist (Mindy?) seemed knowledgeable, skilled, and efficient. She was also friendly and considerate, and I appreciated the time and care she took in explaining the results of my test. (My hearing loss is minimal so I don't need hearing aids yet). My husband brought his 3-year-old hearing aids in because he was having a problem with the connection to his phone (various apps turning on, doing things like dialing random contacts etc.) Our audiologist carefully cleaned the hearing aids and charger and reinstalled the app on his phone. Nice work!

Had a very pleasent visit. Dr Mindy Rumbo was very knowledgeable and patient and explained everything in understandable detail. Additionally, she didn't try to push the most expensive hearing aids, instead she presented a number of available options.
