We’ve had an absolutely wonderful experience with Acorn Therapy Solutions. The tutor is incredibly skilled in the Orton-Gillingham method and brings so much patience, care, and encouragement to every session. She is always on time, communicates clearly, and provides thoughtful follow-up so progress can continue at home and school. The most meaningful difference has been seeing confidence grow alongside clear improvement in reading and language skills. Our son has been a patient at Acorn Therapy for over a year and his therapist, Sabrina, has been incredible. She is patient, warm, and an exceptional listener. Sabrina goes above and beyond, advocating for our son’s needs both at school and at home. We feel so grateful for her support and genuine care—she is truly an amazing person.

My son’s speech therapist at school recommended that we seek additional support and provided Acorn as one of the options (based on other parents feedback). The intake process was simple and communication throughout has been quick/responsive. I really appreciate that Kristen took the time to understand my son’s challenges and made adjustments and recommendations week to week, while also actively communicating with the school speech therapist. He recently graduated and was genuinely sad to be done while also very proud of himself. Other things to mention: clean and bright space, wide range of hours available, good location

Our experience with Kristen since day one has been absolutely amazing! I had concerns for a little while regarding my son’s speech where his school district screened him out two years in a row, I’m glad I followed my instincts and sought private ST services. Our son had a pretty severe articulation disorder and within just a month we noticed a very notable difference! Within 7 months he graduated and is on age level with his similar aged peers! We can’t thank Kristen enough for coaching us to maximize what we can do at home to make gains through simple tasks easy in incorporate in our day to day routine and the progress he made so quickly! Kristen is an amazing speech pathologist and person--she was a great source of support and knowledge, very professional, extremely patient, and our 4-year-old son loved working with her. She was always eager to find ways to engage my son which helped them form a strong connection and enhanced his progress. Kristen constantly worked to tweak her methods for his specific challenges. She always took the time to communicate with me about the session and was always willing to answer any questions or concerns. Kristen also provides different activities that can be done at home for extra practice which I really appreciated. She is very passionate about what she does and it really shows.
