Unfortunately, Security Medicaid uses Accredo Specialty Pharmacy. My prescription was prescribed by my GI doctor September 20th, and today I was called by the GI doctor's nurse, who apologized for the delay. She said after sitting on the phone today for 30 minutes, my prescription would be sent out Monday. However, when I called Accredo, I was put on hold and after speaking to one of their managers, they told me that my insurance needed to be verified. Then, that should take another 5 to 8 business days. Now, the medication is something to reverse my scarring in my liver. I have waited 3 1/2 months for this medication. Accredo doesn't care about their patients. They don't even respond to all these negative reviews.
Terrible customer service. Company deleted my prescription and it has been 4 weeks after my last dose and two calls later and I still don't have it. My doctor's office says they have a steady stream issues with this company than any other. If you can avoid using them, do so for your own health.
For the record, I worked with Geneva in customer service and it was the most pleasant 3 hour phone call I've ever had to be a part of. She truly listens, researches and wants to help me when it seems nobody else has... Aside from Geneva, every other experience I've had with Accredo would get 0 STARS! Do not get roped into working with this company if you have an option. I have spent countless hours on literal dozens of phone calls trying to straighten out an open balance because they coded my order wrong. Now I am about to go to collections and every time I ask for a manager who can actually do something, I'm either disconnected or rudely spoken to with no resolution. Dont let them tell you "it will all be taken care of, we put a ticket in and it takes up to 90 days to resolve, but nothi
Terrible customer experience working with this pharmacy. After I updated my insurance with them it took 4 weeks for them to tell me they can't work with my insurance and I need to go through a different specialty pharmacy. This is causing multiple missed dosages.
Of the 5 times they've sent my medication it's been late twice, thankfully it's not insulin- Customer support is far from helpful just parroting what you can see on the app so there's little assistance unless you spend hours calling through people. I guess almost $20k a month isn't enough for them to do their job.
