ACCESS

I had a endoscopy and a colonoscopy performed at the Access Center. I am a nurse for many years and I remember Dr. Kaufmaan from 1991 at what used to be called Mainland Hospital. He has never changed. He's kind. Compassionate and professional. I trusted him completely as he explained my procedures to me.. Most of all he didn't disappear after the procedures. He sat down in a chair across from me and explained the findings and how fast I would know the results. The anesthesia anesthetist was so charming and really treated me with dignity. This is NOT the normal anymore I'm sorry to say. His sense of humor relaxed me so much. The nurses although I'm an extremely hard IV stick, they worked together as a team. And never hissed 1 time. They took were so.kind. I will NEVER go anyplace else but

They treated me as if I were family. The staff really does care for their patients that go for procedures. I was taken back at how they treat each patient. Before the procedure they introduce themselves and they get to know the patient. Afterwards, they greet you and hand out snacks to patients who are in need of refreshments. I would strongly recommend this place to someone in need of a quick procedure.

The only saving grace was the nurse, Jessica Merito and the other medical staff. They were kind, pleasant and knowledgeable. Other than that, this place was awful. There is no waiting area. No one calls you to tell you the status of your patient/loved one, and no one speaks to you about discharge Instructions or anything else. You are not permitted to go back with your loved one even for discharge. That means you don’t get to speak to anyone in person at all for aftercare. You’re handed a plastic bag with belongings and sent on your way. I didn’t even get a call to advise me that they were bringing the patient out to the car. I simply got a knock on my window with the patient sitting in a wheelchair. Thank God we had a great doctor and nurse who performed the procedure….Under Anesthesia f

All the staff is terrific. What ever Doctor or procedure, the same staff remains the same. Keep the warm blankets coming. A surgical gown and a perfect surgical temperature require warm blankets.

Dr. KAUFMAN and his team are wonderful! They take great care of me during office visits and surgical procedures. They are compassionate and really seem to care. Thank you for remembering to make the care of your patients your top priority. Unfortunately, this ethic is seen less and less in healthcare. Keep up the great work!
