My mom was there for 4 weeks and had an overall great experience. The activities program was amazing and so helpful for her in her rehab. Virginia, the activities director made all of the patients feel like they were “home.” Kushi, the charge nurse was fantastic in making sure my mom got to any appointments, etc. and when she was off, it was noticed. My mom’s nurse Jane was outstanding as well as many of the PCAs they went above and beyond to care for my mom. If she needed to ever go back to rehab, we would go there.

Requiring a stay at a rehabilitation facility by its nature is not a pleasant experience. Aberjona Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is not only highly ranked regionally it is also highly rated in some national reviews. What began as a short stay for my elderly father needing physical therapy has unexpectedly turned into a much longer stay. With the longer stay, we have had the inevitable mixed experiences that come with the institution of rehabilitation and nursing facilities. All that is good about Aberjona is best exemplified in the work of Kushie . She emotionally supported my father when he needed it the most on more than one occasion. Her clinical judgment and ability to collaborate with others creates a safe environment for all. She is a decisive and caring leader that every team shou

For the past year, Aberjona Rehabilitation and Long-Term Care in Winchester has been a safe and welcoming home for my brother who is living with advanced Parkinson's disease. Every time I visit I see positive interactions between staff and residents, all the rooms are clean and patients are carefully dressed if they are at activities or meals. My brother's condition requires that he receive medication regularly during the day, with careful monitoring of his functioning, and I believe that his needs are being consistently met. All the staff I have interacted with have been caring and concerned, as well as pro-active to call me if they feel I should be informed or if he needs further medical attention. I am grateful to everyone at Aberjona for his care and for the Salter HealthCare team that

My 92-year-old mother's senior living facility was kind enough to arrange Aberjona for her rehab after hospitalization for congestive heart failure. It turns out their kindness was misplaced. Her stay ended 17 days later as a 911 emergency back to the hospital, where she passed a few days later, in worse shape than when she was first admitted. I've since learned that CHF can be tricky, but why wasn't she medically monitored more closely so her condition didn't become an unsurvivable emergency? The birthday she celebrated at Aberjona was her last.

Place is a nightmare besides the head nurse, who mind you is in charge of ALL the patients. The staff was shouting at my mom in Haitian. Went through her belongings, threw out clothing. She had a hip replacement four days prior to going to Aberjona. She asked for pain medication and they told her they ran out. Then came up with one pill, and said they "borrowed it from a stash for times when they run out". So apparently this is common I'm gathering. When their orderly wheeled my mom outside into the cold to dump her in my car, he nearly made her fall out of the wheelchair due to speed and the sloped ramp outside the emergency drop off (safety first) If i could give them negative 100 stars, I would go lower. Now I'll go back to my four hour and counting - night in the ER waiting.
