Abbey Delray Health Care Center

As a nursing assistant I am writing this review with a bottle of my heart this happened on Mai 4,2025 around 12:45 pm I was provide care for my patient that was lived in so called Abbey Delray Health Center my shift was started at 11 am I went there I saw my patient was still sleeping by the way as a private caregiver this is not my job to bathe the patient and get it ready for the day since I am a professional and I know my career when I see thing need to be done I make sure I get it done myself around 12:45 I saw it’s about time for lunch I rang the bell for someone to came help me out to help my patient no body shows up i wait 15 minutes I rang the bell again finally I saw unprofessional uneducated Caregivers came I asked if my patient had any aid I needed someone to help me tr

I can't thank the staff enough at Abbey Delray South Rehab for the wonderful care they gave my husband these past weeks while he was a patient there. Everyone from senior administrators to CNAs were kind, caring and capable, making his recovery comfortable and stress free. He liked the food and variety offered as well. Special shout out to CNAs Mikayla and Carmel and to nurses Janis, Landy and night nurse Karen for being so responsive and helpful.

I continue to be appalled by the lack of care, attention, and dignity that Abbey Delray South rehab gives its patients. No matter who I ask for anything - a box of tissues, a handheld urinal, someone to help my father go to the bathroom - it is never their job. They say they will find a person to help. It could be an hour or more before there is any response to a request. The staff seem more interested in clustering around the nurses station to talk with each other, ignoring family members of patients who are trying to advocate for their loved ones. The absolute rock bottom came when my father buzzed to get a urinal, no one came, and he ended up using a cup off his lunch tray. Whatever happened to basic human dignity? Would these staff people want their fathers to be treated this way??

My parents started out with the Lifespace community approximately 12 years ago. This was the best decision they could have made. Now, my father has passed and this wonderful organization is caring for my Mom. She went from Independent Living to Assisted Living and now she is living at the Health Center. All along the way, the care and attention she has and is receiving is excellent. I spent my working life as a Registered Dietitian in many long term care facilities so I know my way around ‘the system.’ While no place is perfect, Abbey Delray provides excellent all around care. The Staff at Abbey Delray (North and South) are second to none. At every level of care, the staff have been attentive and loving to my Mom. They have worked closely with me to ensure that my Mother is getting the car

My mom was there after being hospitalized for a mild stroke. When the insurance was no longer paying she stayed there as a private patient for several weeks until I could arrange at home care which she now needs. One day while I was visiting she had rung for someone to came wheel her to the bathroom but no one came. I personally have a went out 3 times trying to get someone. Finally after 1 1/2 hrs someone came. When she was done she came out of the bathroom with her hands dripping wet because the paper towel dispenser was empty. I could go on and on about the shortage of staff and the non caring attitude some of the staff has regarding the job they were hired to do. Instead I will just say that this place will strip you of your dignity the longer you stay there. Just disgraceful!
