Aashiki Shah, DO, FAAP

Dr. Shah is wonderful! Our primary pediatrician is also in the Summit group, so I have brought my toddler to Dr. Shah a couple times when we needed to book a sick visit asap. I am always impressed by Dr. Shah’s excellent bedside manner and patience, especially with cranky little ones. I have never felt rushed because she takes the time to have a discussion and answer any questions. Plus, it has been very obvious that she reviewed my daughter’s file before stepping into the exam room, which is a big relief because piecing together this one sickness with an overall pattern is impossible if the doctor doesn’t look at the history. We have had the pleasure of having Dr. Shah as our daughter’s pediatrician since the day she was born, and we couldn't be happier with the care she provides. Dr. Shah is incredibly knowledgeable and kid-friendly. She never rushes through an appointment; instead, she takes the time to thoroughly explain every aspect of our baby development and any questions we may have. Her approach is never to over medicate instead to address the illness in the most practical and effective way. She is everything you look for in a pediatrician.

I see that Dr. Shah gets good reviews; maybe that's because she is better with kids who do not have weight problems. If your child is overweight, please see someone else! My son left his appointment with Dr. Shah feeling badly about himself. She shamed him to his face. She didn't ask to speak to his father privately. If she had, she would have known that he has seen an endocrinologist and that we are dealing with it. Research shows that when children and adults alike are made to feel badly about their weight/body, it can lead to disordered eating and even weight gain.

I love this place. They actually go by appointments. everyone is super nice and professional.

One of the worst places I have had experience with. I was a little late to my baby’s appointment because there was so much traffic before we left and they didn’t see us. I was probably 15 minuets late and they sent us back saying they can’t accommodate us. When you have a baby things happen and they weren’t ready to listen to anything. She kept saying there was no time available but what would the doc be doing in the time slot they had already booked for my baby. I will never be going to summit again. They just a lost a customer for life because they lack understanding and are not accommodating whatsoever.
