24th Place

We had my grand mother her for approximately 2weeks. Steve who had sold me on the dream of moving her in strengthening her with in house PT for weeks. It took 1 week to get PT started. We paid out of pocket for the nursing care. I did not enter this blind. I know that nursing homes are short handed. More times than not my grandmothers light was on for 20+ minutes. She would call me and I would call the main line. Usually I would have to call 10+ plus times to get anyone to answer the phone. I went in on a Sunday to bathe my grandmother and I seen a ton of people sitting. And call lights were going off. One person was sitting playing a Nintendo switch. My mother in law was placed there because she needed physical therapy to recover from a tia. They took their ever loving time to get that started and they didn’t answer call lights for crap . If I ever get to the point of having to go to this place send me out to the woods I feel I would fair a hell of a lot better.

This is the worst place. Do not bring your loved ones to this place. We asked them for med for are mom waited 45 minutes and still was waiting and she just passed away. They didn't care about making her comfortable. Unacceptable for a nursing home to do that to someone.

I have had nothing but good experiences with this nursing home since my mom has been in here most of this year. Ashley has been very helpful, and made time to answer any questions I had. Clint helped me out on getting the paperwork I needed on filing for guardianship, and explained the steps I would need to take. The staff if also great in dealing with her, and when she sees some of them come in her face lights up so I know they are treating her good. I know a lot of people have negative comments, or reviews they post cause they have a bad experience, and that’s gonna happen most anywhere you go. When I see what these employees have to deal with on a daily basis I know for a fact I could not deal with it. So I would like to give a big THANK YOU to them.

My sister has been here a little over a year now. Is 24th Place perfect? No! Are they humans doing a job most people do not want to do? Yes! My sister has a traumatic brain injury from a car wreck when she was 13, she is 55 now. Total wheelchair, needs assistance with meds, showers, transfers etc. fortunately she can feed herself. She’s not easy to care for. I have concerns at times, and I graciously go to them with those concerns and they take care of them. I pick my battles. Those with the most complaints are probably the ones that show up the least amount To visit their loved ones. Sometimes a kind word and just being gracious goes a long ways.
